What happens if my panels break?

Am I going to have two monthly bills for solar and electricity?

No, you will still receive a single bill from your utility. Your credits will be applied according to the type of Net Energy Metering (NEM) contract you have with the utility.

What happens if there's a power outage?

If you have a PV solar system connected to the utility grid, it will safely shut-down during an outage and restart after utility power is restored. However, if you add a battery, you can continue to generate and use power for your home and/or charge your battery during an outage. Please let us know if you are interested in battery backup options during your appointment!
